Vancouver police responded to the report of a stabbing in the East Hastings Street and Hawks Avenue area at approximately 10:30 am on July 1st.

Police arrived to find Daniel Haydon, 49, of Vancouver suffering from a stab wound. he was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on July 3rd.

Police identified Luis Maulen, 52, as the suspect and charged him with second-degree murder.
