Vancouver police were flagged over to West Hastings Street on the report of a possible overdose on April 4th, at approximately 10:00pm.

According to the VPD a witness saw the man collapse in the middle of the sidewalk. Paramedics arrived to assist the victim and found stab wounds while performing chest compressions. Robinson Blake Russ, 37, was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call VPD’s Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500.
