Edmonton Police announced on March 14th that they have charged two men in connection with the murder of 32-year-old Sukhvir Singh, whose body was found in northeast Edmonton on February 28, 2025.
Police were called to the area of 17 Street and Yellowhead Trail that afternoon and initially deemed the death suspicious. After an autopsy, it was determined that Singh was likely murdered.
As a result of the investigation, Manpreet Brar, 29, and Gursimran Singh, 21, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a third suspect, Lovepreet Sidhu, 27, on similar charges.
Singh was last seen alive on the evening of February 26, 2025, near Gateway Boulevard. Investigators are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts during that week to come forward.
Update: On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, police arrested and charged Jasmeet Singh, 22, with first degree murder and kidnapping. The cause of death was determined to be drowning.
All four accused were known to the victim and EPS Homicide detectives continue to investigate.
At this time, police believe that Lovepreet Sidhu has since fled to India and are continuing to investigate. Police are also sharing his photo, pictured below, and are asking members of the public with any information regarding his whereabouts to please come forward immediately.
