The 2026 Toronto Homicide Victim List is available here

On Sunday, May 17, 2026, shortly after midnight, police were called to the area of Kipling Avenue and Albion Road in Toronto following reports of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Toronto resident Abdi Wali Aden. This marks Toronto’s ninth homicide of 2026.

Following the investigation, 32-year-old Toronto resident Gordon Gauvin was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
