Toronto’s 14th Homicide of 2026: Erik Safar, 32, Killed After Assault and Vehicle Strike Near Keele and Wilson

At approximately 6:01 a.m. on June 14, Toronto police officers responded to reports of an unknown trouble call in the area of Keele Street and Wilson Avenue.

According to investigators, a confrontation involving several individuals broke out in the area. During the incident, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted and subsequently struck by a vehicle.

Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene; however, the victim was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

The deceased has been identified as Erik Safar, 32, of Toronto.

Police say an unknown number of suspects fled the area in a light-coloured vehicle following the incident. An image of the victim has been released as part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigators are appealing to residents, business owners, and motorists who were in the area at the time of the incident to review any available security camera or dashcam footage that may assist the investigation.

Update: On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, two men turned themselves in to the police. Milan Andras Babos, 18, of Hamilton, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder. Richard Olah, 23, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.

Update: As a result of further investigation, a third party has been identified as a suspect. Dzsenifer Olah, 25, of Toronto, is now wanted for Second Degree Murder.

Update: Toronto police announced on June 22nd that Dzsenifer Olah turned herself in over the weekend and was charged with second-degree murder.
