Toronto police investigate the death of Lemard Champagnie

Toronto police responded to a report of a shooting in the Regent Street and Cole Street area on July 2nd .

Police arrived to find Lemard Champagnie, 30, suffering from life threatening injuries. Paramedics rushed Champagnie to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Det. Singh said police believe the shooting was targeted, and Champagnie was not known to police.

According to Toronto Police suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a dark coloured SUV.
