On Saturday, December 9, 2023, at approximately 6:29 a.m., police responded to a call for a Shooting in the Wilson Avenue and Oakland Avenue area.
Police arrived and located the victim on the road unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, Roberto Lowndes, 36, of Kleinburg ON was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased
Update December 21st
The suspect has been identified as Luis Miguel Eucebio Severino, 29, of Toronto. He is wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for:
- First Degree Murder
He is described as male, 5’11”, 174 lbs., with a muscular build, black hair, black facial hair and brown eyes.
Update January 30th, 2024
On Friday, January 12, 2024, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Border Patrol received a concerned citizen’s report of a person exiting a vehicle and running into a field near Westville, NY.
Luis Miguel Eucebio-Severino, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, was arrested approximately three kilometres south of the Canada-U.S. border, in a wooded area. Border agents determined that Eucebio-Severino had no immigration documents or status that would legally allow him to remain in the United States, and at approximately 5:00 p.m., Border Patrol Agents returned Eucebio-Severino to the Canadian Border Services Agency in Cornwall, Ontario. He has since been turned over to the Toronto Police according to a press release by cbp.gov.
