Toronto police along with Paramedics were called to a medical complaint in the area of Bloor Street West and Bartlett Avenue on July 18th at approximately 12:43am.
Emergency crews arrived to find Kathryn Niedoba, 36, of Toronto suffering from serious injuries as a result of an assault. Niedoba was rushed to hospital however died of her injuries en route.
The victim’s boyfriend, Matthew Larmon, 43, of Toronto, was arrested without incident in the area of Bloor Street West and Dufferin Street on July 19th and charged with manslaughter.

The manslaughter charge has been dropped against Matthew Larmon, the 45-year-old Toronto man accused of killing 36-year-old Katie Niedoba.
According to Global news on the night of June 18, 2019, the couple was walking eastbound along Bloor Street at Bartlett Avenue when Niedoba was either pushed or fell backwards, striking a pipe known as a Siamese connection. Crown attorneys told Niedoba’s family that there was insufficient evidence to proceed to trial, even though one first responder testified Niedoba told him that Larmon pushed her.
