Update: Two men and two teens charged – Toronto Homicide #33 – Police investigate the fatal shooting of Jaron Williams in the Glen Long Neighbourhood

Toronto police police responded to a call for a shooting in the Lotherton Pathway and Caledonia Road area on June 19th at approximately 4:23pm.

On arrival police located Jaron Williams, 24, of Toronto suffering from gunshot injuries and without vital signs. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police said four suspects were seen fleeing the area in a vehicle immediately following the shooting. The vehicle is described as a 2010-2015 beige or champagne-coloured Chevrolet Equinox.

The Toronto Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force are investigating potential links to a shooting that occurred minutes before in the Amaranth Court and Flemington Road area, where a 43-year-old man was shot. He was transported to the hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.

Update July 4th
Toronto police announced that Jalen Campbell Brown, 20, of Toronto, and Justin Harker, 20, of Toronto were both arrested in Montreal and they have both been charged with:

  1. First Degree Murder

Update July 13, 2022, Tafari Bezabeh, 19, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

Toronto police arrested a boy, in relation to this homicide.
