Toronto police were called to the report of a stabbing at 251 Sherbourne Street, on January 29th at approximately 3:40pm.
On arrival police, and Toronto fire, located Nelson Niyongabo, 26, with obvious stab wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by TFD, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Rashid Ali, 31, of Toronto, was taken into custody before he was transferred to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Ali has been charged with:
- Second degree murder
