Toronto police were called to the report of a shooting at a plaza in the area of Morningside Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East area on May 7th at around 3:00am.

On arrival police located two shooting victims located in a plaza parking lot. Peter Oscar Khan, 36, of Ajax was pronounced deceased in hospital, the second victim is expected to survive.

Update Toronto police announced that a man was arrested on May 9th for an alleged robbery that occurred on Saturday, May 7, 2022. At that time he was charged with:

1. Robbery with a Firearm

Homicide investigators identified that same man as wanted for the homicide.

Johvan Waldron, 27, of Toronto, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 and was charged with:

1. First-Degree Murder
