Toronto police responded to a call in the Eglinton Avenue West and Keele Street area on February 27, at 3:25 a.m.

Police located Rupert Brown, 38, of Toronto, with obvious injuries. He was later pronounced deceased. A cause of death has not been released at this time.

Police arrested Leahain Malcolm, 28, of Toronto on February 27th and charged him with second-degree murder.

Investigators are requesting residents, business owners, or anyone who was in the area, to check their security cameras or dash-cams for footage that may assist in this investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 416-808-7400.
