Update: 14-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man charged with first-degree murder – Thunder Bay police investigating the homicide of 14-year-old Kayleigh Ivall

Thunder Bay police responded to the possible discovery of a body by a passerby, in the area of Arundel Street near Lyon Boulevard on April 27th.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, police have confirmed they are treating this incident as a homicide. The victim has been identified as 14-year-old Kayleigh IVALL, , the cause of death has not been released at this time. An autopsy has been scheduled in Toronto.

Update May 5th
Thunder Bay police arrested a 14-year-old Thunder Bay female and charged her with first-degree murder in relation to the homicide of Kayleigh IVALL. The identity of the girl is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Jarett Brandon SAINNAWAP, 21, of Thunder Bay was arrested on May 5th by members of the Thunder Bay Police Service and charged formally with First-Degree Murder in relation to the homicide of Kayleigh IVALL.
