Halton police responded to a 911 report of an altercation between two men at a Marine Drive apartment building on August 25th at approximately 8:11pm.
Police arrived to find 74-year-old Robert Smith, who had suffered obvious signs of trauma. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. 40-year-old Brett Smith. was arrested at the scene and is expected to appear in court on August 26th. Police said the victim was the son of the suspect.

Halton Regional Police responded to a report of an elderly male lying on the sidewalk near Allan Street and Church Street in Oakville on August 24th at approximately 4:40pm.
Police and paramedics arrived to find 91-year-old Edmond Ferrari suffering from obvious chest injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, Ferrari was pronounced at the scene. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.
Halton police are searching for the driver of a Volkswagon Golf who was seen leaving the area of Allan Street and Church Street shortly before Mr. Ferrari was discovered. The driver has been described as Black Male, approximately 6 feet tall, 30-40 years old with shoulder-length hair, wearing a black long-sleeve hoodie, black pants, possibly with a reflective/fluorescent stripe.

Halton Region Police were called to the area of Rebecca Street east of Dorval Drive in the Town of Oakville on July 13th on report of a shooting.
On arrival police an paramedics found a 19-year-old Keegan Parkinson suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police believe the attact was targeted and are searching for two male suspects in their late teens or early twenties. No other information has been made public at this time.

Halton police arrested a 17-year-old male of Oakville on August 23rd. The youth has been charged with:
•Criminal Negligence Causing Death by use of Firearm
• Obstructing Justice
• Careless Use of a Firearm
• Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
• Pointing a Firearm
Oakville police responded to a weapons related call from a home located at 1414 Summerhill Crescent, shortly before 5:00 a.m. on January 17th.
On arrival police found Prem Singh, 69 years, and Jan Singh, 70 years, both deceased. The investigation has revealed that Prem Singh shot his wife, Jan Singh, before sustaining a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police said there is no threat to public safety .
Halton police responded to a 911 call on December 3rd, just after 7:00pm reporting possible gun shots in area of North Park Blvd and Sawmill Road, in Oakville.
Police arrived at the scene to find 46 year old Dean Costanza dead in a vehicle.Police said Mr. Costanza was known to police and they believe the shooting was targeted.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area of North Park Blvd and Sawmill Road on December 3, 2017 between 11:00am and 7:30pm, and may have information to contact the Homicide Tip Line at 905-825-4776.
Oakville Officers responded to a 911 call on Sept 21, where they found 62-year-old Judith Wilson. First responders tried to resuscitate, however the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The caller, Ryan Porte the victim’s 39-year-old son, remained in the home during the investigation, and has since been arrested and charged with second degree murder in the manual strangulation death of his mother.
