Charges laid in Kenora Ontario homicide

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call for a disturbance at an apartment building in the northwestern area in the city of Kenora on October 6th.

Police said a 63-year-old male victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. The victim’s name will not be released until his next of kin is notified.

A 57-year-old Kenora man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

OPP investigating the sudden death of a 57 year old man and a 62 year old woman in Kenora

OPP responded to a report of a sudden death on March 31st at approximately 3:00pm on Hawk Lake Road.

Police said they located a 62-year-old woman and 57-year-old man, both from Kenora, dead inside of the residence.

The deaths are being investigated as suspicious and police said there is no concern for public safety at this time. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death.

OPP have released the identities of the two deceased as 57-year-old Peter Karschewski and 62-year-old Diane Karschewski of MacNicol Township.
