Quebec 2026 Homicide Victim List

The investigation into the disappearance of Sushmita Bhaskaran has taken a tragic turn after Quebec police confirmed that her death is being investigated as a homicide.

According to Radio Canada, 51-year-old Bhaskaran was allegedly killed on or around June 19. She was reported missing on June 22, sparking a police investigation into her disappearance.

As investigators from the Quebec City Police Service and the Lévis Police Department worked together to gather evidence, they were led to a wooded area in Lévis, where Bhaskaran’s body was discovered last week. Authorities initially treated the case as suspicious while examining the circumstances surrounding her death.

Following further investigation, Quebec City police officially reclassified the case as a homicide and confirmed that the victim was Sushmita Bhaskaran.

Police have arrested Martin Carrier, 61, the alleged ex-partner of Bhaskaran, who now faces charges of first-degree murder and improperly or indecently interfering with a dead human body.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence related to the case.
