Surrey RCMP responded to a shooting in the parking lot at the Days Inn Hotel located at 13373 King George Boulevard, on July 4th at approximately 4:57pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Mohamed Abdulrahman Mohamed, 28, suffering from gunshot wounds. RCMP said, despite all attempts to revive Mohamed, he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are searching for an older model silver 4 door Infiniti sedan that was seen fleeing from the area. Police are investigating whether a burnt-out vehicle located a short time later in the area of 96 Avenue and 124 Street is connected to the homicide.
