Edmonton police responded to a weapons complaint at Xhale Lounge, a hookah bar in the area of 101 Street and 81 Avenue on March 24th at approximately 1:30am.
Police and paramedics arrived to find two injured men, and one deceased male victim. the two injured are expected to survive. Police said it is alleged that the suspect approached the lounge and fired several rounds through the window and fled the area.
Police have not released the identity of the victim at this time.
Investigators are urging anyone with information in relation to this shooting or the events leading up to it to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.
Update March 26th
The victim has been identified as Abubeker Gemechu Abduraman, 26. Abduraman died as a result of a gunshot wound. The manner of death has been deemed homicide.

Edmonton police have issued a Canada Wide Warrant for the arrest of Amin Yussuf, 29, in connection to the shooting death of Abubeker Gemechu Abduraman, on March 24, 2019. Yussuf also goes by alias Abdirizak Yussuf, Craig Yussuf, Mohemed Yussuf, Mohemed Mohamed and Mohammed Farrah. He is described as a black male, with brown eyes and black hair. He is six feet tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

Update January 21st, 2020
The Bolo Program is offering a reward up to CAD $50,000 for any information leading to the arrest Amin Yussuf . This reward is only available until July 21, 2020. Yussuf is considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact the EPS directly at 780-423-4567.
Update March 5th 2021
Coquitlam RCMP responded to the report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on February 26th, at approximately 7:00am. The suspect was arrested for obstruction and transported to the local police detachment where his identity was confirmed to be Amin Yussuf through fingerprints.
Amin Yussuf was then arrested on the outstanding warrants issued by the Edmonton police in relation to the March 24, 2019 shooting at Xhale Lounge. He is facing charges of first degree murder, attempted murder using a firearm (x2) and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
