Saskatoon Police responded to a 911 call reporting an injured male in the 3800 block of Fairlight Drive, on August 25th at approximately 5:10am.
Police and paramedics arrived to find 22-year-old Rio Checkosis suffering from serious injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where he ultimately died from his injuries.
Saskatoon Police Major Crimes arrested and charged a 17-year-old male with 2nd-degree murder. Police have not released the identity of the victim or the accused.
