Regina police were called to the 1900 block of Montreal Street on the report of a man lying outside a residence at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

On arrival police and paramedics located a 61 year-old male suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

On Sunday, November 5, 2023, officers charged 48 year-old Roy Julius Dennis Sayer with the following:

• Second-Degree Murder [CC 235(1)].
