Regina, Saskatchewan 2026 Homicide Victim List

Regina police are investigating a double homicide after two people were found dead outside a residence on Elphinstone Street early Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the 1100 block of Elphinstone Street at about 4:30 a.m. on August 11 following reports that two people had been shot. Officers arrived and found a 42-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man deceased outside the home.

The area was secured as investigators from the Regina Police Service Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit, along with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service, were called to the scene.

At the request of their families, police are not releasing the names of the two victims at this time.

Police say a 19-year-old female suspect fled after the shooting and attempted to hide in a nearby yard. She was located and arrested with the assistance of the Regina Police Service Canine Unit. During the arrest, the suspect was bitten by a police service dog and was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries consistent with a dog bite.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, 19-year-old Patricia Stevenson has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a loaded/prohibited firearm. Stevenson is scheduled to make her first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Wednesday, August 12, at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026) 42 year-old Rose Sparvier was charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

Update: On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, 30-year-old Faizon Alexson was charged with two counts of second-degree murder, four counts of possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
