Saskatchewan 2026 Homicide Victim List
Saskatchewan RCMP were called to a report of an injured man in a parking lot in North Battleford on March 13th at approximately 7:45am.
On arrival police located a 30-year-old man who was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police say the death is being treated as suspicious, and the case has since been taken over by the RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit.
According to CBC the victim was a Crown Cabs driver who had just started his shift when he was dispatched to the Hitching Post Motel at about 7:32 a.m., said the company owner Harris Korath. They became concerned when the cab had not moved for 10 to 15 minutes after arriving at the location, prompting another driver to check on him.
RCMP say two 19-year-old men from North Battleford have been charged in relation to the incident. Kojac Adams is facing charges of first-degree murder, assault with a weapon, and pointing a firearm. Garren Baptiste has been charged with manslaughter and forcible confinement.
Investigators also allege the suspects went into a nearby business where they pointed a gun at a person, assaulted them, and confined them in a room before leaving the scene. The victim in that incident was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Both men are expected to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on March 16 as the investigation remains ongoing.
