Quebec City police were called to a home on rue de la Marée-Haute to assist paramedics after a 79-year-old woman was found dead on May 22. Officers arrived quickly and confirmed her death at the scene.

Due to the circumstances, police are treating the case as suspicious. Forensic investigators and crime scene technicians were brought in to examine the area and gather evidence.

With the autopsy completed, the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) confirms that this is a homicide.
