Update: Charges laid – Police investigate a hit-and-run as a homicide in Moncton

Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle collision with a pedestrian on March 12th  in the parking lot of a business located at 411 Elmwood Drive in Moncton, at 3:50am.

A 19-year-old man was located deceased at the scene. Police said the hit and run was intentional and the manner of death a homicide.

There is no description of the suspect, only that they fled the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle. Anyone who may have seen activity around 411 Elmwood Drive between 3:30 and 4 a.m., or who has information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 506-857-2400.

Update March 14th
21-year old Anthony Miller of Cap-Pelé was arrested on March 13th and was charged with second-degree murder.
