Update: Three men arrested in the 2021 homicide of Mohamed Abdirahman in Mississauga

Peel police responded to reports of shots fired at Mid-way Boulevard and Columbus Road in Mississauga on September 22nd at approximately 8 p.m.

Police located 24-year-old Mohamed Abdirahman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced at the scene.

Police believe the suspect fled in a vehicle. Investigators believe a food delivery driver was present during the incident and are urging them to come forward with any information.

Update: On Thursday July 27, 2023, Homicide Detectives arrested and charged the following individuals:

  • Nigel Gutu  – 20 years old from Stoney Creek

            Charge: First Degree Murder

  • Parteek Ghuman – 22 years old from Stoney Creek

            Charge: Accessory after the fact to Murder

  • Malachi Riley – 25 years old from Mississauga

            Charge: Accessory after the fact to Murder
