On February 28, the body of a woman was discovered in a home in Puvirnituq. The Sureté du Québec, suspect that she was murdered.

Officers from the Nunavik Police Service responded to the scene, and it was determined that the victim, Luuku Luuku, who was in her thirties, had injuries indicative of a possible intentional death.

According to reports Paulusie Aupaluktuk-Nutaraluk, 44, has been charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 28 death of Luuku Luuku, according to information filed with the court.
