Nancy Roy 44, was attacked inside her unit at the Grand Château, a century-old building on rue Girouard Ouest on February 23rd at approximately 8:00am. Police were alerted by a neighbour who lived below the victim.
The buildings janitor said “She was screaming for help and knocking on the floor,”
Roy was rushed to hospital where she died of her stabbing injuries that afternoon. Police arrested the victim’s partner, who according to tvanouvelles.ca had blood on his hands at the time of the arrest.
Jean-Yves Lajoie, 57, who lived in a separate unit to Roy has been charged with second-degree murder.
