Update Three charged in connection with the murder of Kevin Mirshahi, a cryptocurrency influencer in Montreal

Montreal police responded to a 911 report of a body at a park near Gouin Boulevard East and de Lile Street on October 30th at approximately 10 a.m.

Police located a person who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Kevin Mirshahi, a 25-year-old cryptocurrency influencer. According to reports Mirshahi’s body was in an advanced state of decomposition and his hands were tied behind his back.

Update: Police believe Mirshahi was one of four people who were kidnapped from a condo building in Old Montreal on June 21 and that he was killed on the same day.

Joanie Lepage, 32, was arrested Aug. 22 well before Kevin Mirshahi’s body was found. She is facing charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, and accessory after the fact to murder.

According to CTV “Public records show that Mishahi was the subject of an investigation by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the regulatory body that oversees the financial sector in Quebec.”

Quebec provincial police announced on November 19th that Darius Perry, a 27-year-old of Châteauguay, Que., and Nackael Hickey, a 25-year-old of Montreal, are charged with kidnapping and being accessories after the alleged murder of Kevin Mirshahi.

The Sûreté du Québec issued a notice Friday Nov 22 that they are in search of 36-year-old Guillaume Nobert of Saint-Lazare, Que.
