Laval police were called to the report of a stabbing at home on Robin Place at 3:30 a.m. Monday, January 15th.

On arrival police located 66-year-old Abdelhak Ajaba, outside of the home, suffering from serious injuries. Ajaba was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Mohamed Reda Ajaba, 33, was charged with second-degree murder. Police have not confirmed the relationship between the two men, however, reports say they were father and son.
