Shellbrook RCMP responded to a call to assist local EMS with an unconscious adult male located outside of a residence on the Mistawasis First Nation SK on November 17th at approximately 9:00pm.
Police said 36-year-old Troy Watson from the Mistawasis First Nation was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Cause of death has not been released, however, the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service is investigating the death of Watson as a homicide.
Anyone who may have been in contact with Troy Watson at any time on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, or who may have information to assist with this investigation, to call the Shellbrook RCMP at 306-747-2606.

As a result of the investigation, Roy Lasas from Mistawasis First Nation, Saskatchewan, is charged with 1 count, Second Degree Murder. A second male suspect, a youth from Mistawasis First Nation, Saskatchewan, has also been charged with 1 count, Second Degree Murder.
