Jasper RCMP were called to a disturbance at the Jasper Legion at 1:17 a.m. on September 27.

When officers arrived, they found a man on the ground in need of medical assistance.

Emergency crews responded, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man was taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing, according to an RCMP statement released Saturday afternoon.
