London police investigate two stabbing incidents that left a man deceased

London police responded to a 911 report of a stabbing on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at approximately 9:00am in the area of Richmond Street and Epworth Avenue. Police located the male victim suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested the male suspect in the area at approximately 9:20 am. After the arrest, responded to a second 9-1-1 call regarding a man located suffering from stab wounds in the area of Patricia Street and University Crescent. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. At the request of family, the name of the victim will not be released.

Police have not confirmed if the two incidents are connected. Information will be updated as it becomes available.

Preston Hill, 22, of London has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Second Degree Murder
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Attempted robbery

Hill was arrested near the scene of the crimes and a weapon has been recovered.
