London police investigate the homicide of an 18-year-old Josue Silva

London Police Service were dispatched to attend a large gathering in the area of Pack Road and Grand Oak Cross, west of Colonel Talbot Road on July 31st at approximately 1:15am on the report of a shooting and an injured man.

The victim Josue Silva, 18, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries where he died shortly after. London police Const. Travis Buckle said “Members of the major crime section are working around the clock to gather all the evidence and continue their investigation into the matter.”

The investigation is in its early stages and more information will be provided as it becomes available.

A gofund me campaign has been created to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Update August 7th
On August 6th London police announced that Emily Altmann, 19, of London, has been arrested and charged with the following offences:

– Second degree murder

– Assault with a weapon

Update August 9th
On August 7th London police arrested two more people in relation to the homicide of Silva.
Dylan Schapp, 19, of London has been arrested and charged with: Second degree murder and Assault with a weapon. Carlos Guerra Guerra, 20, of London has been arrested and charged with: Second degree murder and Assault with a weapon.
