Waterloo Regional Police were called to a home near Highland Road West and Patricia Avenue in Kitchener after receiving a report of a disturbance on November 17, 2025, at approximately 12:50 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 44-year-old woman from Kitchener who had died.

A 40-year-old Kitchener woman has been taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.

She is being held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on November 18, 2025.

Investigators believe the two individuals involved were known to one another.
