Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in the area of 108 Avenue and King George Boulevard on September 8, 2024 at 2:16 a.m.
Police arrived to find a woman with stab wounds and determined she had not been struck by a vehicle as initially reported. The victim was transported to hospital where she remains with life-threatening injuries.
On September 8, 2024, 36-year-old Jennifer Kipp was arrested nearby and charged with aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon.
On September 13, 2024, the victim died in hospital. On October 3, 2024, Jennifer Kipp was charged with second degree murder and remains in custody awaiting a possible bail hearing in Supreme Court.
