Boucherville police said a motorcyclist was shot on Lionel-Daunais Street a little before midnight on August 29th.

Emergency crews originally arrived at what was believed to be an accident to find the victim, Ivan Silva, 39, had been shot. Silva was pronounced at the scene. Police said Silva has been linked to organized crime.

Witnesses told police they saw a dark-coloured car leaving the area shortly after the shooting. No other information is available at this time.
