IHIT investigates the fatal shooting of a man in Maple Ridge

Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 22200-block of 123 Avenue, in Maple Ridge on January 20th at 2:40 p.m.

Police located an 18-year old man suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene of a collision. On January 25, 2024, the victim of the shooting, who remained in hospital, died to his injuries. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been assigned to the investigation and will continue to work closely in partnership with the Ridge Meadows RCMP, BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS).

IHIT investigators release video of a person of interest in a recent homicide investigation. 

We’re asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this individual, who we believe has critical information that can help further our investigation, says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT. Six months ago, an 18-year old boy was killed. IHIT remains dedicated to bringing justice for his family and the community.
