RCMP were called to the Atlantic Institution on February 18th at approximately 10:30am after Calvin Kenny, 27, was found badly injured in his cell. Kenny was serving a 12.5 year sentence in relation to the 2016 murder of Steven Miller.

Police sad Kenny died in the prison in the morning of February 18th. Cause of death has not been released at this time.

Police have charged 23-year-old Brandon Blake Colford with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Calvin Kenny in the Atlantic Institution.
