Hillside Boularderie: Sluaghan MacDonald Charged with Second-Degree Murder in Woman’s Death

Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a 911 report of a woman in medical distress at a home in Hillside Boularderie, at 1:00 a.m. on November 23rd after.

She was rushed to Cape Breton Regional Hospital but later died from her injuries. Officers arrested a man at the scene soon after arriving.

Sluaghan “Sloan” MacDonald, 40, was taken into custody and has since been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre. His arrest followed an investigation led by the Cape Breton Regional Police Major Crime Unit, with support from forensic specialists and the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Investigators say the incident involved individuals who knew each other and emphasize that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
