Police were initially called to the 20000-block of Wharf Street by Maple Ridge firefighters, on report of a body under the Golden Ears Bridge on November 18th.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has since identified the victim as Chad Wilson, 43, of Maple Ridge. Police said Wilson was a well established member of an organized crime group and they do not believe the homicide was random.
