Update: Alexander La charged with second degree murder – Hamilton police investigate the homicide of Randy Peardon near Gage Park

Hamilton Police responded to a 911 report of a deceased male on June 15th, in an apartment in the 100 block of Connaught Ave South, at approximately 1:45pm.

The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Randy Peardon from Hamilton. Police said he lived in the area but did not reside at the address where he was located. 

A gofundme has been created to help support his children.

Video surveillance on Main Street East shows an unknown male picking up another male in a green Nike tracksuit at the corner of Leinster Avenue South and Main Street East at 7:55 a.m. on Saturday, June 15. He drives him a few hundred meters down the road and drops him off at the corner of Connaught Avenue South and Main Street East. 

The man wearing the green Nike tracksuit has been identified. Investigators are now working to identify the unknown individual who picked him up. The vehicle is a four-door red Hyundai Elantra with black rims.

Update:  Hamilton police announced on July 26th the arrest of 23-year-old Alexander La from Hamilton. La, who police said remains in custody on other charges, was charged today (July 26th) with second-degree murder. The cause of death has been confirmed as multiple gunshot wounds.
