Hamilton Homicide #13 – Michael Gallo fatally stabbed in the city’s West End

Hamilton police responded to the report of a stabbing at a residence near Main St West and Haddon St S on October 1st at approximately 8:25pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to fond 34-year-old Michael Gallo suffering from stab wounds the backyard of his home. Gallo was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Hamilton police are looking to speak with a man who was in the immediate area at the time of the incident. He is described as 5’9, slender, wearing a black and gray hoodie with dark pants. He was also wearing a blue surgical mask.

Hamilton police are urging people in the Westdale area to check their surveillance cameras for anyone matching this description on October 1, 2020. Police said the male suspect was seen crossing Main St W at Haddon St where he was nearly struck by a vehicle at approximately 8:20 p.m. The male is described as wearing a gray hoodie with black sleeves with the hood pulled up over his head, 5’9, slender, and wearing a blue surgical mask.
