Hamilton police responded to a report of a stabbing in the Upper Wentworth/Kingfisher area, on December 7th at approximately 4:30pm. The stabbing occurred in the plaza containing Toys R us.
Police and paramedics arrived to find two people suffering from stab wounds, one without vitals. The victims were rushed to hospital where one male victim was pronounced deceased.
Police have identified the 17-year-old victim, however, a publication ban has been placed due to his age. Police said an 18-year-old male turned himself in to police on December 8th at approximately 11:00pm.
Update Dawson Farr, 18, and Tae Yoon Park, Also known as Dan Park, 27, have both been charged with Manslaughter and Assault with a Weapon.

According to The Hamilton Spectator, the victim and his friends planned to rob their drug dealer of $800 to $850-worth of cocaine, when the teen was stabbed twice in the chest and died.
Crown Attorney David King said The case will boil down to two main issues: was Farr acting in self-defence? And if it was self-defence, is Farr still guilty of manslaughter, because the death happened during the commission of an unlawful act?
