On the evening of June 26, 2025, around 7:40 p.m., Surrey Police Service (SPS) frontline officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 10800 block of 129 Street in Surrey.

When officers arrived, they found a man with critical injuries. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the case, marking Surrey’s fourth homicide of the year.

The investigation is still in its early stages. IHIT is working closely with SPS officers to carry out key investigative steps. Although the motive has not yet been confirmed, police believe the incident was targeted and not random.
