Edmonton police responded to a weapons complaint at an apartment complex on McConachie Boulevard on February 8th at approximately 11:00pm.
Police arrived at the scene to find the body of a 32-year-old man. Edmonton Homicide section has taken over the case. No other information is available at this time.

Update February 11th
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of Mohamud Dhiblawe, 29, in connection to the shooting death of a 32-year-old Mohamed Ahmed Makaran. Dhiblawe is wanted for second-degree murder. Investigators are urging the public to not engage with Dhiblawe, should they see Dhiblawe, they are asked to contact EPS directly at 780-423-4567.
Update March 9th
Mohamud Omar Dhiblawe was arrested at a residence in Regina on March 6th, during an unrelated drug search warrant. Edmonton Police and Lethbridge Police have each charged Dhiblawe with one count of second-degree murder.
