Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 1800 block of Ellice Avenue for the report of an adult male who had been stabbed on November 7, at approximately 10:00 p.m.

On arrival police located Jeremy Norton FLETT, 47, a member of St. Theresa Point First Nation, who was residing in Winnipeg, suffering from life-threatening bodily injuries sustained from a stabbing. Officers provided the victim with emergency medical attention before he was conveyed to the hospital in critical condition, and subsequently pronounced deceased.

David Justin KNOTT, 42 , of Winnipeg was arrested nearby and has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order x 2.
