RCMP were called to  the Saskatchewan Penitentiary on June 7th after an inmate was found unresponsive in his cell, and could not be revived by EMS.

The victim has been identified as Christopher Van Camp, 37. Van Camp was serving a five year 5 month sentence on a armed robbery charge.

Tyler Vandewater 28 has been charged with the second degree murder in the death of Christopher Van Camp. The cause of death has not been released at this time.
