The 2024 Calgary Homicide Victim List is available here

Calgary police responded to reports of a seriously injured man in the alley behind the 2200 block of 42 Street S.E on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at approximately 4:05 p.m.

On arrival police located Abdoul Madiou Balde, 23, seriously injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“The public plays a crucial role in helping us solve these investigations,” says Staff Sergeant Mark Rahn of the CPS Homicide Unit. “Regardless of if you believe your information isn’t valuable or assume that police already have it, we want you to come forward. Sometimes even the smallest tip can be the piece that solves the puzzle.”
