The 2024 Calgary Homicide Victim List is available here

Calgary police responded to the Foothills Medical Centre, located at 1403 29 Street N.W., for reports of two victims who had arrived suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds on July 20, 2024 at approximately 6:00pm.

On arrival, one woman was declared deceased, and a 17-year-old male was in serious condition. He has since been upgraded to stable condition.

The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Jordan LEINEN. A gofundme campaign has been created to help the family.

“It is believed the shooting took place at approximately 5:20 p.m., as the victims were travelling westbound on the 32 Avenue N.E. overpass above Deerfoot Trail, in a white 2008 Acura MDX. It is believed an unknown vehicle(s) approached the Acura and fired several rounds into the vehicle injuring the two occupants, prior to them attending the hospital.”
