Valleyview RCMP announced that Branden Munro was arrested in B.C. on June 29 and charged with the second-degree murder of Isiah Cordell Cardinal on June 22 at Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

Munroe remains in custody and will be returned to Alberta, where a follow-up hearing will be held to schedule his next court date.
